Payson Park PreschoolPayson Park Preschool is a nonsectarian, non-profit pre-school located on the lower level of Payson Park Church. PPP has served Belmont and the surrounding communities for over 35 years.
Under the supervision of an experienced and qualified staff, the children at PPP are encouraged to grow socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically in a balanced pre-school program that offers a comfortable transition from home to school. A loving and stimulating learning environment is provided for the children at PPP. They experience many areas of development. Free-play gives children an opportunity to socialize. Story time enriches listening skills. Music time gives children a sense of rhythm and an appreciation of songs. Activity time teaches children to follow and apply directions in a class setting. Large motor skills are developed through playtime either outside or in our indoor gymnasium. The Payson Park Preschool offers three, four, or five-day programs. Flexible schedules are accommodated subject to availability and enrollment. Extended Day (until 1:00pm or 2:00pm or 3:00pm) and Full Day (until 5:00pm) are available upon request to accommodate parents’ needs. The Payson Park Preschool provides a developmentally appropriate program designed to foster an enthusiasm for learning, encourage curiosity, and build a positive sense of self. We provide an environment that develops the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child.
Programs
The Payson Park Preschool offers two, three, four, or five-day programs. Flexible schedules are accommodated subject to availability and enrollment. Extended Day (until 1:00pm or 2:00pm or 3:00pm) and Full Day (until 5:00pm) are available upon request to accommodate parents’ needs.
Admittance
Children must be 15 months to be admitted to the Payson Park Preschool. Children may be enrolled in school at any time during the year, based on availability. Our four classes are composed from the following age range:
PreK/School Age from 3.10 years old and up
Preschool from 2.9 years old and up
Mixed Age (Toddler-Preschool) 1.9 to 3.6 years old
Preschool 1 from 1.9 to 3.6 years old
Toddler from 15 months to 2.9 years old
Some children might be chronologically ready for the three classrooms, but developmentally they might be considered as better fitting in the younger or older group, therefore the composition of each classroom is always flexible!
Registration
There is a registration fee of $100.00. This fee is non-refundable and is not applied toward tuition. It is due with the application and retains a place for your child in the school. A tuition deposit of $200.00 will also be required which will be deducted from your June’s tuition.
In case your child leaves the program before the end of the school year in the month of June, then Payson Park Preschool requires a 60 days notice in order for the $200.00 tuition deposit to be returned. Also, in case your child is missing one or more months of preschool which requires no payment of tuition, please keep in mind how the $200.00 tuition deposit will no longer protect your child’s place in the program. If the tuition is being paid during the absent month(s), your child’s place in the program is still under the protection of the $200.00 tuition deposit.
Families who are already enrolled in the program and decide to take July and August off as “family time” can come back in the fall and are automatically enrolled for next school year. Their spot in the program is secured for next fall if they don't deduct $200.00 from June's tuition. The $200.00 will roll into the next school year and protect your child’s spot in the program from
September to June.
We need a firm commitment by May 1st of each school year regarding your child's attendance for the summer program. Staffing is contingent on these early commitments and if a family announces later that their child will not be attending either months July or August, then they must pay for either month or both.

Second sibling tuition receives a 15% discounted monthly tuition from the lower priced tuition at Payson Park Preschool. A family who recommends Payson Park Preschool to the families in our community and gets us a registration receives a 10% discount of that month's tuition.
The tuition rates for toddler-preschool groups stay at the toddler rates for the entire school year even if your child turns 2.9 in that room. 2.9 is considered a preschool age, but we will continue charging the toddler rate for the duration of the time your child will be in those two rooms.
If your child is in the Mixed Age and Preschool One group or Room #4 and #5 where we mix the two ages - toddlers and younger preschoolers, then the tuition remains at a toddler rate regardless of the fact that your child is 2.9 or older which is considered preschool age in Massachusetts.
