Some thoughts on why we support Payson Park Church:

● We support Payson Park church because of the
 strong sense of COMMUNITY, the MISSION and OUTREACH conducted by church members, and overall that we want to help make the world a better place;
Being MEMBERS of Payson Park Church helps us to do that.
֎ Emily Dallman & Hank Thidemann

● I support Payson Park Church for three reasons.  A big part of it is to honor my father, Mark F. Clark, who was a great believer in and supporter of Payson Park Church for nearly 50 years.  He so wanted Payson Park to THRIVE into the future!  Another part is that I value the work it does in the Community, & the way that it provides opportunities for me to have an active role in shaping that work.  Finally, it is a spiritual ‘HOME’ for me, and provides a safe place for me to think about all those really big questions that don’t have easy answers.  Thanks Payson Park!
֎ Kate Rodriguez-Clark

● I support Payson Park Church because it's a way of showing Gratitude and LOVE for all the great things God does for me and my family (Hosea 2:20).  Also when we give back to the LORD, he is FAITHFUL to supply all our needs. (Philippians 4:19).
֎ Ruth Nantaba

● I support Payson Park Church because I enjoy the company of the membership and there is a volunteer group who are willing to devote their time to managing the various aspects of the church, which contributes to the feeling of BELONGING. Plus, for Kay and me, The MUSIC ♫ is UPLIFTING,
֎ Bill Hudgins

● We are glad to support our church, because our church acts in faith to do many Good Deeds in our community, especially through BRISTOL LODGE Food Kitchen, Chaplains On the Way, Cradles to Crayons, and more.
֎ John & Cynthia Lasker

● March 6, 2022, was a great day in my life: the day our members voted overwhelmingly to become an OPEN and AFFIRMING (ONA) church. I am so proud of the hard work our ONA team did leading up to the vote, and the way our congregation engaged in the process in the midst of a pandemic. I'm so glad to be part of a church whose leaders (Eric, Bill, Josh, and Jeff) care so deeply about HELPING others and working for God's JUSTICE on this earth. I support Payson Park Church because it inspires me to be a better Christian and gives my life MEANING. And it's a nice bonus that the people in our congregation are fun to talk to!

● Faith, Hope and Love; These are Payson Park Church’s Cornerstone Beliefs and you will find all three here. I’m a lifelong member because I really enjoy Pastor Eric’s sermons, which are light hearted with a POWERFUL message. The congregation has some of the nicest people I have met.              ֎ Kathy Johansen

● I support Payson Park Church because it's a WELCOMING faith community, in ONA and all ways. It offers me ways to put my FAITH into practical action. And in difficult times, it's on a pathway to GROWTH!

Ukraine Emergency Appeal
Through
United Church of Christ Response

https://support.ucc.org/global-h-o-p-e/ukraine-emergency-appeal

The United Church of Christ is appealing for support for refugees and for elderly and other vulnerable people who are displaced within Ukraine and unable to leave. As a member of the ACT Alliance, UCC support is being targeted to people most in need through humanitarian relief partners with a history of working in the region.

Gifts made to UCC Ukraine Relief Fund will provide shelter, food, and other care to war refugees and internally displaced people. It also will help refugees and asylum seekers from African, Middle Eastern and other countries who had sought refugee in Ukraine and now are twice displaced, as well as other citizens of more than 125 countries living in Ukraine.

Uniting in prayer, action, and giving, we stand as a people of faith in love and compassion with the people of Ukraine and all who are affected, and with our global partners who are welcoming those driven from their homes.

One can also mail a check made payable to the United Church of Christ PO BOX 71957 Cleveland, OH 44194. Please be sure to note “Ukraine Relief Fund” on your check in the memo section.
