Pianist Leah Kosch keeps a busy career in the Boston area. As a chamber musician and collaborator, she has performed a lot around the Boston area. Recent notable performances include the Medford Condon Shell, the Golden Hour Concert series in the South end, the Cambridge River Festival, the Longwood concert series, the Plymouth library concert series and the Cape Cod Art Museum, as well as faculty concerts at Boston College, Rivers Conservatory, and the Brookline Music School. She has also performed at NEC, Boston Conservatory, and M.I.T., where she holds staff pianist positions.
As a freelancer, Ms. Kosch has performed with myriad Boston-based groups and orchestras, including Opera on Tap where she performed in their “Opera and Flowers” summer series, the Mercury Symphony, the Melrose Symphony, and took part in Opera Bites with the Boston Opera Collaborative in Pickman Hall. Ms. Kosch is also an advocate for contemporary music, and has premiered a lot of new works as a former core member of the Boston New Music Initiative. Ms. Kosch has also performed at the PARMA festival, New England Conservatory’s SICPP, Rivers Contemporary Seminar, and has recorded new works with the Acting Singers Project. Ms. Kosch is on faculty at Boston College, Brookline Music School, and the Rivers Conservatory and is the Music Director of Payson Park Church, United Church of Christ, in Belmont. |
