Theology, Literature and Coffee

 (TLC) News

The adult education group, “Theology, Literature, and Coffee (TLC),” led by our ministerial associate, the Rev. Bill Ragan, is starting a new book: Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Paton.

This classic, widely read novel was an immediate worldwide bestseller when it was published in 1948. Paton's impassioned novel about apartheid is a work of searing beauty. Cry, the Beloved Country is the deeply moving story of the Zulu pastor Stephen Kumalo and his son Absalom, set against the background of a land and a people riven by racial injustice. Remarkable for its lyricism, unforgettable for character and incident, Cry, the Beloved Country is a classic work of love and hope, courage and endurance, born of the dignity of humanity.

Join us on May 8 at 9:00 AM in the MacDonald Room church parlor and come to know one another and our God better as we discuss Cry, the Beloved Country.  Come and experience our “Stillspeaking” God at Theology, Literature and Coffee!
